The family law team at Karas So in Association with Mishcon de Reya authored the Family Law Chapter in Global Legal Group's International Comparative Law Guide (ICLG) 2024.
Jonathan Mok, Carmen Cheng, Sarah Wong and Anglea Li's chapter covers the key aspects of family law in Hong Kong and highlights recent developments in a variety of areas. The eminent ICLG series provides current and practical comparative legal information on a range of practice areas.
Jonathan is a highly experienced dispute resolution lawyer specialising in contentious and non-contentious matrimonial and private client matters. He is one of a small number of civil solicitors to be granted higher rights of audience in Hong Kong. He is also the first and currently only family dispute lawyer who is a Solicitor Advocate, enabling him to represent clients as their advocate, if required all the way up to the Court of Final Appeal. Carmen is a Special Counsel and a private clients’ lawyer. She handles all family matters including divorce and children disputes, pre-nuptial agreements as well as contentious and non-contentious trusts and estate matters.
Both Sarah and Angela specialise in both contentious and non-contentious family matters, and advise on all aspects of family law, including divorce and separation, children related issues, financial disputes and third parties’ interests in matrimonial assets.
